The Dark Sun generative NFT art project
As someone who is fascinated by natural growth models such as plant growth, I was eager to experiment with creating a code that could draw something resembling a tree. The result was a simple rule that, when repeated, produced a tree-like shape: draw a line, and when it reaches its end, draw two lines at an angle of, say, 60 degrees, with each new line half the length of the previous line. This process is repeated until the length of the line is greater than a specified value, such as 40 pixels.

To create more natural-looking trees, I experimented with randomizing various parameters, such as the angle and arc of the lines, or extending certain branches with only one line instead of two. By adding randomness, the trees took on a more organic and less artificial appearance. However, too much randomness led to unattractive results, so I discovered that there was a fine balance between nature and randomness.
After drawing several trees, I decided to turn them into small paintings and register them as NFT projects on the FXHash.xyz website. I found the addition of a dark sun to be particularly striking and ended up creating a collection called Dark Sun.

This simple exercise sparked my interest in incorporating natural growth trends into my work and led me to create more NFT projects.
